About

Our Story

We loved nut butter -- peanut butter, almond butter, you name it --
but wanted  something better than a high calorie, bread tearing
spread. At almost 100 calories per tablespoon, portion control was
near impossible; A spoonful of peanut butter to refuel after a workout
was sometimes more calories than burned on the treadmill. And really
how realistic is one spoonful? A true PBJ takes at least two
tablespoons. Add the bread and jam, and you're looking at a 500
calorie sandwich.

We started experimenting with ways to make a lighter peanut butter
spread: a spread that would be better for us, remain all natural, and
not compromise the comforting taste that is loved by all.

Our solution is Better Butter. Spread it on bread, waffles, or bagels,
make sandwiches, use as a dip for fruit or crackers, or just enjoy a
spoonful when an energy boost is needed.

We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
